Monthly Market Staxx: Bitcoin nerds finally get girlfriends as bitcoin takes over Nashville
Greetings, fellow digital asset enthusiasts and members of the Goldmannstaxx STAXX CLUB! July has been a whirlwind of excitement, drama, and pivotal moments in the world of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Let’s dive into the highlights that have kept us on the edge of our seats this month.
Bitcoin Price Rollercoaster
Bitcoin, the king of cryptocurrencies, has had wild ride in July. After a brief dip to $53,000, the price surged past $65,000 following an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. This event not only boosted Trump’s victory odds but also ignited a frenzy in the crypto community. Bitcoin’s resilience and the growing influence of political events on its price underscore the increasing mainstream adoption and recognition of digital assets. While still in a consolidation pattern, price continues to test $60k. As mentioned in our previous newsletter, we may be in this consolidation period for some time.
Bitcoin Conference in Nashville: A Gathering of Crypto Titans
The Bitcoin Conference 2024 in Nashville was a magnet for crypto enthusiasts, investors, and political figures alike. With an impressive lineup of speakers, including Donald Trump, Senator Marsha Blackburn, Senator Bill Hagerty, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the conference showcased the growing intersection of cryptocurrency and politics. Attendees were treated to insightful discussions, innovative ideas, and a glimpse into the future of Bitcoin and the broader crypto landscape.
The expo included some old favorites as well as new companies looking to capitalize on innovative bitcoin friendly products. We also enjoyed the Bazaar which included dozens of bitcoin friendly vendors displaying their work. The art exhibition was excellent and we enjoyed seeing animation and VR technology as well as the aspect of scarcity being integrated in to the art. The afterparty was located at the Assembly Hall Sky Deck and did not disappoint. The combination of the views, the vibe and the venue made for a fitting ending to an unforgettable experience.
Donald Trump appeared as the first president ever to speak at a Bitcoin Conference and laid down some quotes that will change history forever.
He said the U.S. is to become the “crypto capital of the planet” and a “bitcoin superpower of the world.
“If crypto is going to define the future, I want it to be mined, minted and made in the USA – it’s going to be, it’s not going to be made anywhere else.” – Donald Trump
Political Drama: Bitcoin and Crypto in the US Presidential Race
The 2024 US Presidential race has taken a dramatic turn, with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies becoming a hot topic on the campaign trail. The assassination attempt on Trump, coupled with his commitment to championing the crypto movement, has thrust Bitcoin into the political spotlight. RFK is all in and a Bitcoin holder since 2019. As candidates weigh in on the role of digital assets in the US economy, the crypto community is watching closely to see how the election could shape the future of Bitcoin and its regulatory landscape.
